Amica Systems Reports drupa Launches

ALMERE, THE NETHERLANDS | Amica Systems, developer and manufacturer of industrial inkjet systems, will introduce a family of water-based pigment inks at drupa 2016, May 31–June 10, in Düsseldorf, Germany. The system is said to be well suited for the digital age of custom and short-run printing.

Patrick Citroen, managing director of Amica Systems Europe, says, “This new ink product line presents safe and economical alternative to print on a wide variety range of substrates like glossy and coated paper, plastics, foils, pharmaceutical applications, and packaging.”

According to Citroen, the company also will launch different types of inkjet systems, including the LR54 “The LR54 is a new roll-to-roll narrow web printing system, which is able to print in full color as well as monochrome on textile care labels, self-adhesive labels, lanyards, and other materials for a wide range of applications in UV or with new water-based ink.”

Also on display will be the new LPS 330 “all-in-one” full-color print solution, able to print in multi-pass or single-pass mode. Applications include the creation of embossed 3D effects with varnish ink.
