FLEXcon Introduces BOPP Films

 

SPENCER, MA | FLEXcon has launched sureFLEX biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films designed for primary and secondary labeling applications.

Company says the multi-purpose 2-mil clear films have enhanced flexibility, utilizing the its new, higher-shear V-01 permanent acrylic adhesive for improved performance without adhesive buildup on presses and die-cutting equipment. Films are reported ideal for the pharmaceutical, health and beauty, food and beverage, and household chemical markets.

Films adapt to a variety of container types, including squeeze tube applications as well as full wrap labels and front and back panels. Said to have a low haze level for no-label-look graphics on HDPE and PET containers and can withstand the crimping process. In addition, smooth surface supports high quality graphics and is compatible with a wide range of inks, including UV, solvent and water flexo, UV and solvent screen, and UV letterpress.

According to the company, films eliminate the need for converters to powder rolls prior to processing and offer more open time for label misplacements at dispensing. They also comply with FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact.
