CPP Conference Program Registration Is Open

PARAMUS, NJ | CPP EXPO has announced the full conference program for the upcoming event, scheduled for September 8–12, 2013, at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The three-day conference (September 9, 10, and 11) is co-produced by Yolanda Simonsis, president and editorial director of Paper, Film & Foil CONVERTER, who brings decades of industry expertise to this program.

“This is a must-attend event for converters and package printers interested in learning how to most successfully integrate the latest solutions into their existing operations,” says CPP president Leo Nadolske. “They want to offer their customers enhancements that ultimately allow their package and brand to stand out, and this will be three solid days of insights and solutions that will highlight what’s new and what’s next in converting—from prepress to finishing!”

Session topics include the following:

• Waste reduction and cost?savings in web handling, tension control, registration

• Hybrid printing

• 3-D digital decorating

• Digital printing and finishing in packaging and labels

• Intellectual Property—protect what’s yours

• Inks in food packaging and FDA regulations

• Inline carton manufacturing

• UV curing and drying in flexible packaging

• RFID and smart packaging.

A highlight of the conference will be a never-before-presented color assessment process used for the Image Test Service. Hands-on audience evaluation is included in the session, which also focuses on process imaging volume measurements and spot color match testing results and experiences.

“The attendees will come away from this conference with a much better understanding of how to produce optimal results throughout the converting process,” Yolanda Simonsis sums up. The conference program includes PFFC’s stable of expert consultants who specialize in web handling (Tim Walker of TJWalker+Assoc.), printing (Dr. Dene Taylor of SPF-Inc.), coating and laminating (Mark Miller of Coating Tech Service), and electrostatic control (Dr. Kelly Robinson of Electrostatic Answers). Other colleagues have also been invited to complement their specialties, including Henry Freedman, who will focus on image test services. For more information, visit Yolanda’s blog.

Registration is now open and reduced rates are in effect. Visit the CPP website for the full agenda, listing of speakers, and session descriptions, as well as to register to attend. Exhibit attendance is included in all conference registration fees. CPP is produced and managed by H.A. Bruno.
