Highcon Cooperates with Mayr-Melnhof Karton

YAVNE, ISRAEL | Highcon reports it has been working together with Mayr-Melnhof Karton, Vienna, Austria, to produce packages digitally cut and creased by the Highcon Euclid. As part of the launch of the Highcon Euclid into the folding carton market, Highcon has been working with partners at every stage of the converting process to ensure smooth integration and running of the machine.

According to Miki Zimmer, COO and co-founder of Highcon, “The Mayr-Melnhof Group’s position as one of the world's leading manufacturers of both folding cartons and cartonboard made them a key partner for Highcon to work with to produce samples digitally cut and creased by the Euclid. We are well aware that the company stands for quality and reliability, competence, innovations, and packaging safety and so we are proud of the cooperation between our two companies.”

Horst Bittermann, head of Mayr-Melnhof Karton marketing, says, “MM Karton's guiding principle has always been the sustainable and responsible production of high quality folding boxboard [FBB] and white lined chipboard [WLC], meeting on-going market requirements. Today, dynamics show a clear trend towards digitally produced solutions. Reasons enough for MM Karton to proactively launch a pioneering product range for digital printing/converting such as MM Digicarton—an attractive FBB, or MM Digicarton Eco—an environmentally friendly and cost efficient WLC.”
