drupa 2020 Dates Moved by One Week

CHICAGO, IL | Messe Düsseldorf reports the dates for drupa 2020 have been moved by one week, and the fair for printing technologies will now be held from Tuesday, June 16, to Friday, June 26, 2020, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

This was agreed on by the drupa Committee at their meeting on February 15, 2017. The key argument for this decision is the fact that in some European countries as well as in Germany, the summer holidays would have already started during the initially planned dates (June 23–July 3, 2020). By changing the dates, Messe Düsseldorf is responding to requests from both exhibitors and visitors.

Werner Dornscheidt, resident and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, says, “When we decided to stick to the four-year cycle of drupa in consultation with the leading representatives of the industry during drupa 2016, the majority of holiday dates had not been published yet. Now we are pleased that we can offer this solution, although there is hardly any room for maneuvering in the packed trade fair year of 2020. The fact that we agreed on a more compact stand construction period also contributes to staging the entire trade fair in June. And we are delighted to be able to act in our customers’ interest by starting one week earlier than originally planned.”
