Looking Back on Drupa

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY

The giant Drupa fair is over, and the reviews are in, not only for the show but for the industry as well. Albrecht Bolza-Schünemann, president of Drupa and CEO of Koenig & Bauer, reports, “Drupa 2008 has sent out a clear signal: Due to numerous innovations and new fields of business, the print media sector is more agile than ever.” The show boasted 1,971 exhibitors from 52 countries and approximately 391,000 visitors from 138 countries. International participation increased by 4% compared to Drupa 2004, and exhibitors announced concluded deals worth more than e10 billion, reports Messe Düsseldorf, organizer of the event.
