Synchrono Releases Version 6.0 of Software

ST. PAUL, MN | Synchrono, a supplier of demand-driven manufacturing software, reports the release of version 6.0 of SyncOperations, the company’s manufacturing intelligence system powered by Savigent.

SyncOperations reportedly enables the Industrial Internet of Things by pulling data from machines converting and processing materials (as well as systems such as an ERP, PLM, etc.). company says the system can plug in to any environment that captures and stores data. In aggregating this data, users can do any number of analyses, including design automated workflows, root-cause analysis on issues relating to many factors including quality, prescriptive and preventative maintenance, and more.

Software is comprised of several components, including a workflow automation engine, a data historian, and the ability to connect and aggregate data from enterprise systems and machines.

Key enhancements in version 6.0 include:

• An all-new Artifact Server stores ready-to-deploy applications for easy use across the enterprise

• Enhanced functionality and flexibility allow workflows to interact with all environment information without the need for dedicated interface types

• Infrastructure changes allow online data storage and web-based queries of the system

• New IM-SQL querying language support is said to provided easy access to system data and can be used to investigate complex relationships within manufacturing data.

The manufacturing process and contextual data gained from SyncOperations software provides highly actionable information for operations, engineering, and continuous improvement teams., says John Maher, VP of product strategy for Synchrono. “SyncOperations 6.0 gives manufacturers some powerful new tools for capturing real-time data and connecting systems, machines, and people. The information gained can drive instant, more informed decisions to positively impact production flow as well as provide a solid focus to continuous improvement initiatives.”

Aggregating information from its own applications as well as from both machine-level and disparate enterprise systems, the Synchrono Demand-Driven Manufacturing Platform provides a real-time visual information system said to empowers everyone—from the top floor to the shop floor—with actionable information.
