Berry Plastics Completes Pliant Acquisition

EVANSVILLE, IN | Berry Plastics Corp. has completed the acquisition of 100% of the common stock of Pliant Corp., which emerged from bankruptcy effective Dec. 3, 2009.

The newly acquired business will be operated as Berry's Specialty Films Div. Running the company is R. David Corey, Pliant's former COO.
