Avery Dennison Adds SynCarta BOPP to Fasson Rapid-Roll Line

PAINESVILLE, OH, USA—Avery Dennison Corp. reports it's enhanced its Fasson Rapid-Roll product line with SynCarta synthetic media. According to the manufacturer of pressure-sensitive technology and self-adhesive solutions, these biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films are highly engineered synthetic media available in C1S matte and ultra-high-gloss finishes.

Four calipers are inventoried—7 & 10 mil gloss/gloss and 7 & 10 mil C1S matte/gloss—and all are distributed through Fasson Roll North America, says Avery.

"SynCarta synthetics offer the durability of plastic with the look, feel, and convertability of paper," states an Avery Dennison press release. "Dimensionally stable for excellent print registration, two-sided glossy surfaced products are suited for offset, gravure, and flexo printing, while C1S matte coated products area ideal for thermal transfer applications. Converters [can] achieve maximum production levels with anti-stat, traction control, and great ink adhesion characteristics engineered into the product." The mfr. also says both glossy and C1S matte provide "outstanding" opacity; both have high tear strength as well as incorporate water, grease, and oil resistance; and both are UV stable for use up to one year. Applications include: retail hang tags and shelf danglers; identification cards; frequent/preferred shopper cards; membership cards; and information cards.
