ISCST Issues Call for Papers

FORT MILL, SC | The International Society of Coating Science and Technology (ISCST) will hold its biennial International Coating Science and Technology Symposium, Sept. 18–21, 2016, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. The 18th Symposium features a plenary session on micro-/nano-replication technology for the creation of patterned surfaces for applications such as printed electronics, information storage, and light management films. The event is facilitated by AIMCAL.

Technical session topics will include coating and drying/curing fundamentals, coating applications, microstructure development and film defects, flow and solidification of particulate coatings, wetting, and printing and discrete coatings. The deadline to submit proposals for oral or poster presentations is March 15, 2016. Submissions may be made via the ISCST website.

Proposals are being sought for The Networking Session, a forum for people actively seeking collaboration in an area of interest. Since collaboration may take the form of direct industrial support, joint research proposals, internships, job opportunities, or other interaction, the presentations are less formal than technical session papers.

The Symposium agenda also includes a tabletop exhibition, which will be open each day of the event, and presentation of the John A. Tallmadge Award for Contributions to Coating Technology and the L.E. Scriven Young Investigator Award.
