PLGA Seeks Entries for Achievement Awards

PRESS RELEASE

The Packaging and Label Gravure Assn. (PLGA) requests entries for the 2006 Technical Achievement Awards for suppliers to the gravure industry for packaging and labels. The awards recognize new or improved products that will enhance the industry's position relative to other printing technologies. Entries will be judged in prepress, pressroom, and support systems categories, and on innovation, affordability, operating cost savings, quality improvement, and savefty and/or environmental impact.

All entries must be commercially viable in 2006 and be received by August 1, 2006. Each submission must include a photo or graphic representation along with a 50-500 word description of the product. Information about features and benefits to the user—such as ROI, percent improvement, percent scrap reduction, EVA, or other quantifiable measurement—should be provided.

Winners will be announced at the PLGA September 2006 Technical Conference in Charlotte, NC, held as part of the 2nd Annual Gravure Week jointly sponsored by the PLGA and GCUG (Gravure Cylinder Users Group.
