W&H Corp. Buys Reinhold Machinery

LINCOLN, RI, USA—Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) Corp. reports it has acquired Reinhold Machinery Corp., a machinery manufacturer located in Lengerich, Germany. According to the converting equipment manufacturer, the acquisition will enhance W&H's position in the blown film extrusion market. The sale will be completed and in effect January 1, 2003, co. adds.

W&H says Reinhold has developed and sold innovative components for blown film extrusion (including film-sizing gauges, oscillating haul-off units, and winders) since the 1970s. The company also makes bag-making machines. According to W&H, Reinhold will continue to operate independently and under its own name, and the exisiting staff will be retained.

W&H designs and manufactures blown and cast film extrusion systems, flexographic printing presses, gravure printing presses, multiwall equipment, plastic sack making machines, bag-making machines, and form/fill/seal machinery for the converting and packaging industries. Visit W&H at whcorp.com.
